Mission Statement
To help provide financial assistance to individuals with a cat that is experiencing life-threatening urethral obstruction (UO). We aim to enable these owners to access the immediate, lifesaving care their cats need, preventing the need to surrender their pets to local shelters or face the heart-wrenching decision of euthanizing an otherwise healthy animal.

FLUTD Fighters is a not for profit 501(c)(3) organization
PLEASE READ!! If you are concerned your cat is experiencing life threatening urethral obstruction, please take your cat to the closest emergency hospital immediately. DO NOT fill out anything here or contact FLUTD Fighters directly. We work directly with veterinary clinics to get owner's the financial assistance they need. We currently are only serving the Austin, Texas area. As we obtain additional funding we hope to be able to expand outside of the Austin area.

Who does your donation help?

From May 2025 to present, our efforts have directly resulted in  saving 38 lives--keeping 38 families from losing a beloved family member.

Your donation helps an owner be able to treat their feline fur baby during a very scary, life threatening illness and allows them to keep their cat instead of surrendering to a shelter or in the worst case scenario euthanize them. We are currently only within the Austin area, but hope to grow soon!
Check out our Success Stories Tab to see some of the cats we have helped so far and hear from their loving families!

What is FLUTD?
Feline lower urinary tract disease (FLUTD) is a group of problems associated with the lower urinary tract (bladder and urethra) of cats. The most serious and life threatening complication of FLUTD is urethral obstruction  (UO). The cat is unable to urinate and becomes very ill very rapidly. This is an extremely common emergency seen in cats-approximately 10% of all feline emergencies involves a blocked cat. UO is very treatable, but can be very expensive, as it is a multiple day hospitalization and often surgery.
